Statement of al-Ikhwan al-Muslimoon From Jordan Regarding the Iranian revolution
The Jordanian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood issued a statement (refer to Lumahaat 'an Da'wat Ikhwan al-Muslimeen of Muhammad Awad Muhammad Abd al-Ghani, pp. 44-45) following the Iranian revolution in 1979:
Summarized Translation
 The determination of the Muslim Brotherhood in strengthening the Islamic revolution in Iran is a determination that is completely harmonious with the emblems of the group and its central (policies) and its pure Islamic thought and also its central (policies) relating to organization (political) activism.
It was from the primary aspirations of our Imaam, the Shaheed!![*] Hasan al-Banna (asks for Allaah's mercy upon him), that the Muslims overlook their doctrinal and jurisprudential differences. And he (asks for Allaah's mercy upon him) expended great effort in bringing nearness between the Sunnah and the Shi'ah as an introductory (stepping stone) to abolish all apparent differences between them both.
And in this path it he had very strong ties with many of the trusted Shi'ite men such as the Imaam Ayatollah al-Kashani, and the revolutionary, martyr[*] Nawab Safawi and the Imaam Kashif al-Ghitaa in Iraq and others.
And the Muslim Brotherhood considers that the establishment of the Islamic revolution in Iran opens the door, renewably, to complete what the Imaam, Shaheed (i.e. Hasan al-Banna) commenced in trying to actualize a foundational change in the ties between the Sunnis and Shi'ites.
[*] It is not permissible to state that so and so is a shaheed (martyr) unless there is evidence from revealed texts that so and so is indeed a martyr guaranteed Paradise. To make the claim of shahaadah for someone unrestrictedly, without qualification is from the manifestations of Irjaa' - a doctrine rampant in Ikhwani circles and figureheads.

A clearer picture emerges when we see that both Sayyid Qutb and Hasan al-Banna had strong ties with some of the Raafidah mentioned above, like Ayatollah Kashani, Nawab Safawi and this is consistent policy of al-Ikhwan al-Muslimeen. Refer to the following articles for more details:

Alongside this, there appeared another Ikhwani strategy attempting to bring the methodologies of Ikhwan to Salafi audiences during the 80s and 90s. From the main figureheads behind this were Abd al-Rahman Abdal-Khaliq, Salman al-Awdah, Safar al-Hawali and others. These (and countless other Ikhwani stooges) put up defences and propaganda for individuals like Hasan al-Banna and Sayyid Qutb. This is counted from their treachery towards the Salafi aqidah and manhaj and treachery towards the people of the Sunnah, their scholars and their rulers.
